BIO
Alastair Kirk was born in Leicestershire, England, in 1984 and has been in full-time Christian ministry since aged 17.
Alastair is Development Manager at Christians United for Israel UK, having joined the CUFI team when it was founded in 2015. He previously spent five years with an international Christian persecution charity, where he managed campaigns and was CEO. Prior to this, Alastair worked in Christian education for nine years and is still connected. Alastair has had opportunities to minister to young people at student conferences in the UK, Russia, Singapore and Australia.
Alastair is experienced in campaign management, Parliamentary advocacy for Israel, and is a regular writer and speaker. He also serves on the preaching team at his local church. In 2023, Alastair launched PrayforUK, a social media based prayer initiative for the UK. He currently lives in Wiltshire with his wife, Anna, and son, Daniel.
Alastair says, "Raised in a Christian home, I had a deep sense of God's hand upon my life from an early age. When I was eight, I was challenged by a street evangelist and accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart as my personal Saviour. I was baptised a few years later. In my late teens I made a decision to commit my future plans into God’s hands with the intention of serving the Lord with my life."
Statement of Faith
I believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid the penalty for my sin by dying on the Cross, rising again and ascending into Heaven. I also believe in the promise that He will literally return and that as a child of God I have an eternal destiny. Having accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, repented and confessed Him as Lord, I believe I am saved by grace and not of works. I recognise that the life I now live I live in Christ (Gal 2:20) and therefore my primary motivation in life is to put God first, remain obedient to His direction and love Him with all my heart. I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is foundational in my commitment to walk with God, fellowship with Him and serve others."
